REPOSSI UNVEILS A TWO-YEAR MULTIMEDIA CAMPAIGN, “PORTRAITS OF CHARACTER IN MOTION,” SHOT BY ZOE GHERTNER
The house of Repossi stands for women who put individuality first, and whose definition of beauty includes strength from within.
On September 7, Repossi is pleased to reveal a multimedia campaign over a year in the making: “Portraits of Character in Motion” will appear in prestige titles in print and online, in Repossi boutiques, and across social channels, until the end of 2022.
In still photography and 16mm film by the Los Angeles-based photographer Zoe Ghertner, “Portraits of Character in Motion” is contemplative, expressive and intimate, featuring incandescent, diverse women styled with minimal but striking adornment from each of Repossi’s jewelry collections. The entire campaign includes eight portraits, ten still lives and three short films.
No one is interchangeable; sometimes the most impactful beauty is revealed in contrast. Repossi chose two very different models for “Portraits of Character”: Kirsty Hume and Jamie Helms. Hume, 44, is of Scottish descent, living in Los Angeles, and first rocketed to stardom in the early 1990s. She is also a mother and visual artist. Helms, 25, is a member of the Native American Coos nation from Oregon, and worked as an auto mechanic until she walked her first runway show a year ago.
With the first reveal of “Portraits of Character in Motion,” in September, Repossi presents its latest collection, Serti Inversé, a meditation on organic movement realized in precious metals and diamonds. Also present in the campaign, to be revealed at a later time, will be pieces from each of Repossi’s past fine and high jewelry collections: Berbere, Antifer, Serti sur Vide and Blast.
Repossi has, for three generations, created high jewelry with an emphasis on technical skill and elegance. Under Gaia Repossi’s creative direction, the company steps into the contemporary era, imbuing a new architecturalism into audacious pieces meant to be worn like a precious second skin. Joining forces with LVMH in 2015, Today REPOSSI has standalone boutiques on Paris’s Place Vendôme, in Monte Carlo, Doha, Dubai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, London and New York City.
